Tribenuron-methyl 75%WDG herbicide Tribenuron-methyl 75%WDG

Working Principle

As a biosynthesis inhibitor, Tribenuron-methyl mainly works by inhibiting acetolactate synthase (ALS) in weeds. This enzyme is a key enzyme in the synthesis of side-chain amino acids such as valine, leucine and isoleucine.

By inhibiting ALS activity, Tribenuron-methyl prevents the synthesis of valine and isoleucine, which inhibits weed cell division and growth, ultimately leading to weed death.

SPECIFICATION

High quality  Tribenuron-methyl 95%  CAS:106040-48-6

APPLICATIONS

Effect on broadleaf weeds

Broadleaf weeds absorb Tribenuron-methyl through the foliage and the root system and then conduct it throughout the interior of the plant. This process ensures that the agent works quickly and fully.

Once Tribenuron-methyl enters the weed, it rapidly inhibits cell division and prevents the production of new cells. This is the key to its weed control effect.

After application, weeds will gradually die within 14 days. The rate of weed death may be slowed down by low temperatures, but the final effect will not be affected.

Effects on Wheat Crops

Wheat crops are naturally resistant to Tribenuron-methyl. This is due to their ability to rapidly convert Tribenuron-methyl into harmless substances and thus avoid damage.

This conversion mechanism ensures that Tribenuron-methyl is safe for wheat crops at normal dosages.

Common dosage forms of Tribenuron-methyl

(1) The 95% crude form is the purest form of Tribenuron-methyl and is commonly used to formulate other dosage forms.

(2) 75% Aqueous Dispersible Granules (ADGs) is a common Tribenuron-methyl dosage form, which is easy to dissolve and apply, and is suitable for spraying over large areas.

(3) 18% wettable powder is an affordable option for small-scale use and home gardening.

Targets of Tribenuron-methyl control

Tribenuron-methyl can effectively control a wide range of common broadleaf weeds, such as Fagus sylvatica, Mackerel's cocklebur, Drosera, Polygonum, Skunk's petal flower, Wild mustard, Bird's tongue, Capsicum annuum, Artemisia annuum, Amaranthus antipyrifolia, Mustardium, Groundnut, Ranunculus, Thistle, etc..

Tribenuron-methyl is not effective against certain weeds such as pigweed, field scabious, zephyr, buckwheat bramble, etc. Therefore, it should be used in combination with other herbicides.

Tribenuron-methyl's damage situation

Corn damage
Corn is affected by Tribenuron-methyl, the leaf flesh of young leaves turns green and yellow, the leaf veins remain green and form yellow-green stripes, sometimes the leaf base and leaf veins turn purple-red, the leaf tips turn yellow and brown and die, and the plants are dwarfed.

Harm to soybeans
Soybean affected by its residue, manifested as seedling emergence retardation, cotyledon bending, true leaves wrinkled, green and yellow, leaf veins turned brown, the main growth point shriveling, plant dwarfing. When the damage is severe, the main growing point is necrotic.

Drug damage to peanuts
Peanut is harmed by its residue, manifesting as delayed germination, seedling emergence and growth, shortening and thickening of hypocotyl, shortening and thickening of radicle, bald tip, shriveling of radicle, bending of young stems and petioles. When the damage is serious, the growth of plants is stagnant or the roots become black and necrotic.

Precautions for using Tribenuron-methyl

(1) Due to the high activity of Tribenuron-methyl, the dosage should be calculated accurately to avoid overdosage. It should be mixed well with water before use.
(2) When spraying, care should be taken to prevent the agent from drifting onto sensitive broadleaf crops to avoid causing drug damage.
(3) After spraying, the sprayer should be thoroughly cleaned to avoid residual agent affecting subsequent use.
(4) The Acceptable Daily Intake (ADI) for humans is 0.01mg/kg and the maximum residue limit in barley and wheat is 0.05mg/kg.
(5) When using Tribenuron-methyl, care should be taken to prevent splashing in the eyes. In case of inadvertent splashing, rinse immediately with plenty of water for 15 minutes.
(6) Tribenuron-methyl should be stored away from food and feed and out of the reach of children to ensure safety.
